Shadows

seems the light was gone today
as cloud after cloud covered up my sun
how quickly life can turn upend
and peaceful days be rattled

“no, no, no!” the road was just getting smooth
and i am learning how to trust with what’s on my plate right now
i can’t handle anymore
and the sky grows dark

then i see shadows on the wall
faint but clear
a visage of the light
hidden but real

seems the light was only hiding
it never really goes away
the clouds may cover
but light

and love

and truth

still shine
