To walk in the dark with the sure knowledge of dawn
This is victory
Once fear filled, now hope full
He prepares a table in the presence of my enemies
I sit feasting with joy in the face of sorrow
And free of foreboding when joy walks near
Such freedom enables me to enter your pain with courage
To fight for your battered heart
Is it fear and not just selfishness that causes the strong to ignore the weak?
To walk by and look the other way, afraid to get messy, involved, or worse
To see their own frailty in the weak
But Samaritans are good because they’ve known Love
yes, i think many times it's fear. thank you for the times you've shared my pain…
I do think it's fear, and we all feel it from time to time. We turn away and we take a step. Keep me from those steps, Lord!
This was powerful.
Oh that was beautiful! May we not be afraid to get messy!
you had me with the first two lines. great post.
Fear tries to rule the roost in so many areas. Thank God for that perfect love that we can cling to. I truly love the way you express yourself, Kim.

Fear vs. selfishness. Or is one an expression of the other?
