Like Pentecost
Tongues of fire alight top trees
Blazing red
Orange enflaming
Broad grey backdrop
Sky
But this fire burns downward
And in
Tips of leaves like wicks
Flicker of a flame
That consumes
And grows
Until
It EXPLODES
Wind swept leaves
A fire that flies
All the while singing
GLORY!
Like Pentecost
Consume me
Until like leaves
My tongue sings
An endless song of thanks
And glory flies . .
29. Stars out in the early morning sky
30. Watching the day wake up
31. Morning mist over the valley
32. Sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains
33. Our dentist
34. Dental insurance
35. Lunch at a burger joint with my famished boys
36. Learning to find rest even in the crazy
This is just lovely…
Blessings as you continue to sing…
nice..great movement in this…this is a season that is hard for many…but in that beauty we can find it pointing to glory and the divine hand in the fact that seasons are set in motion as well…
that tree is glorious! and your words are beautiful…
Like Pentecost…consume me. I love that thought with the imagery of that gorgeous tree!
Beautiful, to me a reminder that we are just part of the greater force that is Nature
