Rachel at Geek Unorthodox writes, “I’m thankful for discerning children, children who write, paint and draw, who have their own prophetic voice in the art they create.” I join her in this giving thanks!
My children inspire me with their writing, drawing, dancing, singing, playing. Seeing life through their eyes is like a kaleidoscope. Everything looks different, upside-down, multi-faceted . . beautiful!
My son Daniel recently entered his poem “Some Warmth” in the One Stop Poetry competition. And won! I’m so proud and know you will indulge me some “momma glory” 😉
You can read his poem here and more of his poetry at his blog, The Most Useful Things.
Wow. I just read Daniel's poem. Wow. And yes, I will indulge you. Glory in the beauty of your son's written word. It is rejoice-worthy.
I've been reading some of your sons poems, I especially like Iron Caught in Hard Scales. Thanks for linking me to your post and I join you in thankfulness as well! 🙂
Thanks, ladies. It's such a thrill to see our children find "place" in this place. Rachel, "Iron Caught . ." is one of my favorites too (it's one of the few I understand 😉
This made me so happy when it happened. Finally that kid got some recognition for his genius 🙂
