The least of these?

Who are they?
Where do they intersect my life, my days?
They don’t
Therein lies the problem
I guess that’s why Paul told us to “remember”
“Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” ~Hebrews 13:1-3
In the midst of this life, Lord
don’t let me forget
Your kingdom is unseen
as are the “least”
Give me eyes to see
“I ask thee for a thoughful love, Through constant watching wise, To meet the glad with joyful smiles, And to wipe the weeping eyes, And a heart at leisure from itself, To soothe and sympathize.” ~ A.L. Waring, Daily Strength for Daily Needs

Thanks for sharing the scripture from Hebrews.

I really like this post and the scripture from Hebrews as well, it focuses on meeting daily needs in individual lives not just corporate. Don't get me wrong I believe in giving to non profits and they have there place and definitely need support but sometimes giving is just entertaining a stranger, visiting someone in prison or taking the homeless person standing on the corner a happy meal. 🙂
