A Harmonious Dichotomy

The sun smiles through the fog this morning. The grey sky and blue share the horizon. I’m not sure how the weatherman would describe it. But I like it.

I like it because it is a reflection of my soul.
The grey heavy weight of fog is undeniable. There are problems. In my life, my friends’ lives, in the world. They are heavy and grey.
But there are blue skies too. Our health. Our love. Our hope. The quiet strength of this season that stubbornly refuses go be contained in commercialism. The thrumming beat of God’s heart. His love story. Yes, blue skies.
And my heart smiles like the sun, because in the grey and in the blue the Truth is true.
God is good. I am loved. We are blessed.
